St. Louis Children’s Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a **Lead Certified Athletic Trainer** ! The lead ATC will coordinate athletic training for outreach coverage for St. Louis SC Academy, Lou Fusz Athletics, and additional local sports programs. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced ATC with strong organizational and communication skills to lead our athletic trainers effectively.
This full-time position includes weekday responsibilities and occasional weekend event coverage, making it a dynamic role for those passionate about athletic training. Additionally, the position offers eligibility for full BJC Benefits, providing comprehensive support for the successful candidate.

**Preferred Qualifications**
**Role Purpose**
Oversees daily operations and clinical practice of athletic training services, including direct patient care in the field and clinical setting. Responsible for clinical quality, regulatory, staff, and student education. Assists manager and supervisor with oversight and management of athletic training services. Contributes to process improvement and is responsible for professional growth.
**Responsibilities**
+ Directs, provides, and ensures the delivery of outcome-oriented care of athletes on the field following all National and State regulations. Performs acute injury evaluation and rehabilitation under a physician’s directive and develops and instructs on-site or in-home exercise programs.
+ Partners with manager and supervisor to develop and maintain relationships with contracted organizations and to develop and provide community outreach.
+ Develops Safety Action Plans for athletic events, which include staffing levels for athletic trainers, in partnership with the supervisor.
+ Supervises and educates new hire ATC’s, students, volunteers, and the community on appropriate care, training, and safety measures.
+ BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
