Lead CarpenterJob SummaryLead carpentry and masonry operations providing technical leadership, project coordination, and safety compliance for commercial building systems. Supervise teams while ensuring code compliance, quality standards, and client satisfaction through comprehensive project management and team development.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Project Management
Coordinate carpentry and masonry installations, maintenance, and repairs while reviewing building plans and specificationsEnsure code compliance including ADA requirements and troubleshoot complex building systemsDevelop quality standards for millwork, cabinetry, and architectural finishes while coordinating with MEP systemsManage tenant improvements, preventive maintenance schedules, and emergency repair capabilitiesTeam Management & Safety
Lead and mentor carpenters, masons, and apprentices while coordinating work crews and tradesDevelop Job Safety Analysis, Lockout/Tagout procedures, and implement fall protection programsConduct safety briefings, incident investigations, and ensure OSHA compliance with PPE managementParticipate in hiring staff, conduct performance evaluations, and recommend professional developmentOperations & Client Relations
Manage tenant improvement coordination and facility management representationDevelop maintenance schedules for doors, windows, millwork, and building envelope componentsCoordinate emergency response protocols and disaster recovery proceduresRequired QualificationsEducation & Certification
High school diploma with completed carpentry/masonry apprenticeship program (4 years)OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification preferred or equivalent JLL trainingExperience & Skills
5+ years carpentry/masonry experience with 2+ years supervisory experienceExperience with commercial building systems and building codes interpretationProficient in installation, maintenance, repair, and blueprint readingBackground in ADA compliance requirements and cross-disciplinary coordinationTechnical Competencies

Estimated compensation for this position:
82,827.00 – 82,827.00 USD per yearThis range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
