Lead Business Intelligence Developer

Lead BI Developer for Detroit, MI to design, develop, deploy, support & maintain enterprise-wide business intelligence (BI) solutions to enable business stakeholders to make data-driven decisions; prioritize BI requests; build roadmap to drive future state of enterprise BI solutions; lead delivery of complex system components; define requirements for reports, dashboards & analytics; train business users on BI reports; collaborate with data engineers, data science, & IT teams; act as internal BI thought leader; mentor & train junior team members. Requires Master’s in C.S., I.T., Analytics, or closely related field & 5 yrs experience developing enterprise-scale BI and analytics solutions and KPI; designing advanced dashboards using Power BI and/or related tools; interacting with data lakehouses & cloud-based databases, including Microsoft Azure and SQL; building queries & scripts using SQL, Python, PySpark and/or DAX for extra-large data sets to support EDA, ad-hoc reporting & BI development; interfacing with business stakeholders, including management, to translate business challenges into BI solutions; optimizing DAX for reporting; performing data access management & role-based and row-level security; using Agile estimation, planning & project execution methods; and implementing comprehensive QA & data governance protocols. Will also accept Bachelor’s in said fields & 7 years progressive, post-Bachelor’s stated experience. Telecommuting permitted from home office location anywhere in US.
