Lead Business Execution Consultant - PMO

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Business Execution Consultant.

In this role, individual will be part of the Business Initiatives function involved in leading the governance and communication across Commercial Banking Operations. The centralized initiatives model helps to apply structure, consistency and drive execution results for the Commercial Banking Operations Strategic and Risk priorities. This role is critical to the Commercial Banking Operations team’s support and help keep the functional leaders and managers in the day-to-day operations of serving our customers. 

The roles align within Commercial Banking Shared Services which supports the entire Commercial Banking organization with variety of activities as a shared service and this include supporting the entire change / strategic initiatives book of work, support on BCP readiness and planning, reconciliation, quality assurance, MI and other shared activities. The team in I&P is relatively new and needs to establish itself while working closely with key business stakeholders to drive various projects / initiatives.

The individual will be expected to have good understanding and experience as a governance and communication lead. The incumbent will be required to work under stringent timelines, maintain strong engagement with multiple functions in a matrix environment. As part of the initial engagement, the individual would focus on establishing governance framework, aligning to the policies, and controls for various initiatives. The individual will take the lead and work with stakeholders to ensure overall project tracking, portfolio reporting, budget management and dashboards are delivered as per cadence established to senior executives.


In this role, you will:

Lead cross functional teams to strategize, plan, and execute a variety of programs, services and initiativesDrive accountability for assigned initiatives, limit risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriateReview strategic approaches and effectiveness of support function and business performancePerform assessments through fact finding and data requiring creative approaches to solving complex issues, and develop appropriate solutions or recommendationsMake decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of business group's functional area or products, facilitate decision making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plansCollaborate and consult with members of the Business Execution team and team leaders to drive strategic initiativesInfluence, guide and lead less experienced Strategy and Execution staff within the group


Required Qualifications:

5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

Strong Experience in establishing and maintaining PMO Governance frameworks, policies, and controls in line with, Policies controls, banking regulations and internal audit standards.Sound understanding of project management methodologies, tools and techniques.Strong organizational and stakeholder management skills, with ability to analyze data and information, solve problems, and simplify messaging.Experience of change management or large-scale transformation initiatives in a complex organizational setupExperience in working with cross functional teams in a matrix program structurePartner with business and IT teams to ensure alignment of project delivery with strategic banking initiatives (e.g., core banking upgrades, digital banking launches, data privacy compliance).Facilitate regular program and portfolio review boards, ensuring proper documentation, risk logs, and mitigation plans are maintained.Support audit readiness by maintaining accurate project records, compliance documentation, and closure reports.Coach project managers and business stakeholders on PMO tools, templates, and delivery best practices.Implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase delivery maturity, including adoption of Agile and hybrid methodologies in banking projects.Experience in building and reporting Operational Score card metrics to various stakeholdersAbility to facilitate workshops, design sessions and gather requirements from LoB SMEs, Senior leadership to deliver business outcomesAbility to work in a collaborative environment with an emphasis on teamworkSound knowledge and background of operational processes in a financial serviceExcellent problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to adept and evolve as per the need of the organizationExcellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and presentation skills.Work as a liaison between development team, data analysis team, Commercial Banking Operations managers and the sr. level executivesCBAP, CSPO, Lean Six Sigma and Agile certifications would be an added advantage
