Department Summary:

MITRE’s Treasury, Investments, and Financial Operations team is seeking a Business Analyst to support the procurement team.  This role will be critical in driving operational excellence, implementing process improvements, and enabling data-driven decision-making across to advance our financial operations.  The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to present key findings and turn them into actionable recommendations.  The role will have an emphasis on advancing S2P/Procurement analytics and reporting.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Use an analytical mindset to help improve the analysis and reporting capabilities across the FINOPs teams (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Travel & Expense, Treasury, Procurement, and Property) with an initial emphasis on advancing the S2P/Procurement team.Become an expert in the various systems used in Finance to help drive process improvements through technological expertiseAnalyze complex data sets, tell the narrative of the business, and make actionable recommendations for improvement and risk mitigation to improve the efficiency of operations.Collaborate with stakeholders, review operations, diagnose problems, and provide solutions - functioning in many ways as a management consultant to the department and broader FinanceImprove-upon current reports and establish new products to enable the procurement team to better manage their businessBecome an expert in S2P and Procurement to be able to assist and elevate the team in all areas of the businessCreate timelines, process models, and execution plans that implement process change across functionsDevelop executive level briefings to keep senior leadership apprised of metrics, process improvement, and implementation outcomesDemonstrate strong relationship-building skills at multiple levels, fostering collaboration across internal teams through verbal and written communication.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in a business analyst or management consulting roleAdvanced Excel and Powerpoint skillsAbility to build, develop and narrate executive level presentationsExcellent written and oral communication skillsProven analytical abilities with emphasis on developing metricsProven accounting and financial capabilitiesInnovative and able to thrive in a high paced environmentThis position requires a minimum of 4 days a week on-site

Preferred Qualifications:

1-2 years working experience in Business Operations (accounting, payroll, treasury, A/R, A/P, etc.)MBA preferredProject management experienceGovernment contracting experienceDashboard software experience (Tableau, Power BI, etc)

Salary compensation range and midpoint:

$130,500 - $163,000 - $195,500 Annual
