Department Summary:
MITRE’s Treasury, Investments, and Financial Operations team is seeking a Business Analyst to support the procurement team. This role will be critical in driving operational excellence, implementing process improvements, and enabling data-driven decision-making across to advance our financial operations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to present key findings and turn them into actionable recommendations. The role will have an emphasis on advancing S2P/Procurement analytics and reporting.
Roles & Responsibilities:
+ Use an analytical mindset to help improve the analysis and reporting capabilities across the FINOPs teams (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Travel & Expense, Treasury, Procurement, and Property) with an initial emphasis on advancing the S2P/Procurement team.
+ Become an expert in the various systems used in Finance to help drive process improvements through technological expertise
+ Analyze complex data sets, tell the narrative of the business, and make actionable recommendations for improvement and risk mitigation to improve the efficiency of operations.
+ Collaborate with stakeholders, review operations, diagnose problems, and provide solutions - functioning in many ways as a management consultant to the department and broader Finance
+ Improve-upon current reports and establish new products to enable the procurement team to better manage their business
+ Become an expert in S2P and Procurement to be able to assist and elevate the team in all areas of the business
+ Create timelines, process models, and execution plans that implement process change across functions
+ Develop executive level briefings to keep senior leadership apprised of metrics, process improvement, and implementation outcomes
+ Demonstrate strong relationship-building skills at multiple levels, fostering collaboration across internal teams through verbal and written communication.
Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in a business analyst or management consulting role
+ Advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills
+ Ability to build, develop and narrate executive level presentations
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills
+ Proven analytical abilities with emphasis on developing metrics
+ Proven accounting and financial capabilities
+ Innovative and able to thrive in a high paced environment
+ This position requires a minimum of 4 days a week on-site
Preferred Qualifications:
+ 1-2 years working experience in Business Operations (accounting, payroll, treasury, A/R, A/P, etc.)
+ MBA preferred
+ Project management experience
+ Government contracting experience
+ Dashboard software experience (Tableau, Power BI, etc)

Salary compensation range and midpoint:
$130,500 - $163,000 - $195,500 Annual
