What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health
Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.
Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm (Overtime when needed)
Responsibilities
Works closely with management to maintain receiving standards and ensure that proper processes are followedSupport the supervisor in leading the team’s efforts in adhering to all government (OSHA, DEA, SBOP, FDA) regulations as well as safety, security and cleanliness of the warehouseEnsures that Cardinal Health’s principles, policies and procedures are consistently practicedCoordinate workflow to accomplish overall business objectives (i.e., pick, pack and ship on time and accurately, cycle counts, returns, and clean-up). Fill in and perform functional tasks (i.e., stock, label totes) daily where/when necessaryHandles general employee inquiries and solves problemsMaintains positive employee relations; promotes team environment and facilitates process improvementWork closely with other leads and supervisors within the facility to promote teamworkPlan daily workload and assignmentsLead safety and quality discussions while maintaining productivityQualifications
