Responsibilities

Serve as team leader for assigned security officers to ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors.

Participate in the process of monitoring, guiding and evaluating staff performance.Contribute to efficient operations by assisting with coordinating activities, prioritizing workflow and promoting decision-making and problem solving.Model and promote teamwork and cooperation amongst staff. Review staff reports for accuracy, clarity and completeness.Investigate, document, and manage security incidents and hazards. Address escalated or unresolved issues.Assist the Security Manager with shift staffing, organizational planning, budget preparation, staff
development, and Committee Chair responsibilities.For those security officers who are responsible for operating a vehicle, operate in a safe and responsible manner to avoid accidents and traffic or parking violations.
Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Drivers License obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.Class D (Unarmed Security License) and Class G License (Armed Security License) issued by the
Florida Department of Agriculture obtained within 90 days of hire or transfer date required.BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.Law Enforcement preferred.

Education:

High School diploma equivalency and 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree and 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Additional Preferences State of Florida “D & G” License   Ability to effectively read and write incident reportsState of Florida Driver License
