Position Description:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Test Engineer – Performance Testing who will play a key role in assessing and optimizing the performance, scalability, and reliability of software products, particularly in cloud-native and microservices environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in performance testing tools, cloud infrastructure, and monitoring solutions with a solid understanding of application architecture and DevOps practices.
• Design and execute performance, load, stress, and scalability testing for cloud-hosted applications (AWS/Azure).
• Develop and maintain performance test scripts using JMeter (preferred) or equivalent tools.
• Analyze system behavior using Grafana, Kibana, Dynatrace, and identify performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and product teams to understand architecture and system flows.
• Integrate performance tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Simulate real-world usage scenarios and validate performance across environments.
• Interpret results, correlate metrics, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies with a performance-first mindset.
• Document performance strategies, test results, and reports.
• Support performance tuning across frontend, backend, database, and infrastructure layers.
Mandatory Skills
• 8+ years of experience in performance engineering/testing.
• Strong hands-on experience with JMeter (or LoadRunner/Gatling).
• Proficiency in C#, JavaScript, or C with solid OOP concepts.
• Experience testing cloud-native, distributed applications.
• Strong knowledge of microservices performance testing, latency, and throughput analysis.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server for DB performance testing.
• Experience integrating performance tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and performance diagnostics skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities
Good to Have Skills
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure performance monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and release automation.
• Experience working closely with infra teams on capacity planning and tuning.
• Exposure to service-level objectives (SLOs/SLAs) and reliability metrics.
• Familiarity with Agile product delivery environments.
