This position is part of the Technical Accounting sub-department within the Global Inventory Center of Excellence, focusing on key inventory-related processes such as GRNI/GIT, Costing, E&O, and Asset Management. The role will lead complex financial analysis projects, evaluating plans using economic indicators, and identifying improved methods for analysis and reporting. Additionally, this role may involve coaching or mentoring less-experienced financial staff.
Perform month-end close activities, including calculation, reconciliation, and analysis of inventory and related balance sheet and P&L accounts, using tools like Excel and Power BI.
Prepare and post journal entries and accruals in accordance with GAAP, ensuring all reports and balances reconcile accurately to the General Ledger and comply with IPE procedures.
Maintain and reconcile inventory-related balance sheet accounts (GRNI/GIT, Costing, E&O, Assets) in accordance with company policies.
Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, internal controls, and company financial policies, supporting audit and regulatory requirements as needed.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including internal teams and global Technical Accounting groups, ensuring alignment and timely sharing of relevant financial information.
Support inventory-related analytical requests, such as trend analysis and inventory reserve validation, and handle ad-hoc technical accounting questions.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives through automation tools (e.g., BOTS, RPA, Alteryx) and support inventory-related projects including transitions, integrations, and system implementations.
Maintain and update process documentation to reflect business changes, including updates to advanced Excel formulas and Power BI reports or workspaces.
What you need:Required:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or equivalent
+3 years of experience in a complex and detailed inventory and/or other complex accounting functions in global organizations
Fluent in English 85%/B2+
Advanced proficiency with Excel and Oracle, JDE or SAP experience
Preferred:
CPA qualification
Knowledge of Power Bi
Knowledge & understanding of US GAAP
Experience navigating and influencing in a matrix organization or working in a COE is preferred
Travel Percentage: 10%
