Job Opportunity: Lead Access Control Installer – TEKsystems Company Overview: TEKsystems is a leading provider of technology services and talent solutions across the country. We're looking to bring on a skilled Lead Access Control Installer to join a growing team serving the Middle Tennessee region. The ideal candidate has experience installing and maintaining access control systems—such as door strikes and magnetic locks—in commercial settings. No programming expertise required, but a tech who's familiar and motivated to learn is ideal. This position comes with a company vehicle, gas card, cell phone, and laptop. ️ Key Responsibilities: + Install and test access control systems in commercial environments + Cut and fit door strikes and magnetic locks for clean installs + Diagnose and troubleshoot access control and security system issues + Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance for optimal system performance + Collaborate with clients to deliver tailored security solutions + Maintain detailed installation and service records + Stay current on the latest access control technologies + Travel to job sites (valid driver’s license required) Required Skills: + Security systems + Access control + Installation and hardware setup + Troubleshooting + Alarm installation Top Skills: Security • Access Control • Installation • Troubleshooting • Alarm Installation ✅ Additional Qualifications: + Proven field experience as an Access Control Installer or related role + Strong knowledge of access control hardware (door strikes, mag locks) + Proficiency in hardware fitting and commercial site work + Solid troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities + Ability to interpret tech diagrams/manuals + Strong communication and customer service skills + Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license + Certifications in access control systems (preferred) Physical Requirements: + Ability to lift and transport heavy equipment + Comfortable working in varied environments (heights, confined spaces) + Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination Experience Level: Expert Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
