**Job Description:**
J & J Innovative Medicine Thailand is recruiting for Lead – Strategy, Business Insights & Transformation, located at Bangkok. This role will be responsible for working closely with the leadership team of Thailand to refresh our business strategy & execute business transformation required to deliver the strategy. This role will be a part of the Janssen Thailand leadership team, reports into Head, Strategy, CE and Regional Marketing, SEA & India and has a dotted line reporting to General Manager of Thailand.
Thailand is at an inflection point in its history. Rapid changes in the external market access environment like continued pricing pressures, OCPA and rapid acceleration of Global J & J Innovative Medicine towards Super specialty business has created a burning platform for the company to reset itself and chart out a clear path to become a transformational medical innovator. The external environment is ripe with significant opportunities to scale up business. Digital transformation seen in last two years will rapidly expand the healthcare industry. Tech enabled solutions like telemedicine, e pharmacies are increasing diagnosis and treatment rates and increased adherence due to patient awareness will offer as significant market opportunity. Medical tourism is also growing significantly in Thailand increasing the attractiveness of the market
Role of Lead – Strategy,Business Insights & Transformation is created with this purpose of making J & J Innovative Medicine Thailand future fit.From a Strategy and Business Transformation, the incumbent will approach this challenging but enriching role in phases:
+ In first phase the candidate would be responsible for scanning the external environment in terms of healthcare landscape, market access and policy changes. Expectations is for the candidate to bring in external insights from IQVIA on market is changing and how other MNC are approaching the market. Ability to engage with external vendors, analytical mindset, high degree of curiosity, consulting background, good understanding of pharmaceutical business especially sales and marketing are critical traits required for success.
+ The second phase would be to distill insights and orient the management team on the findings to lay foundation for crafting a strategy. Critical thinking, collaborative mindset, aligning and inspiring members would be critical traits required for success
+ The third phase would be to work closely with the leadership team to decide on a strategy and gain commitment from country and regional leadership. The fourth phase would be to identify workstreams to execute the strategy with leadership team members who would act as sponsors or owners.
+ Concurrently, the candidate will also assume responsibilities as the Business Insights and Analytics lead for Thailand, responsible for supporting the General Manager, Thailand for monthly business reviews and annual Business & Strategic Planning processes (BP and LRFP) for Thailand, including forecasting models for in-market brands and pipeline assets. At the same time, the candidate will assume Therapeutic Area (TA) BI&A responsibilities for the SEA and India (SEAI) cluster and be part of the SEAI TA cross functional team. He/She will also manage local and cluster TA performance dashboards and governance frameworks to track progress toward strategic objectives.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Strategy & Transformation
+ Refresh Thailand’s business strategy and lead transformation initiatives aligned with regional priorities, focused on Innovative Medicine pipeline, leveraging internal asets to plan the IM Thailand product portfolio
+ Scan external environment for market trends, policy changes, and competitor strategies; leverage insights from IQVIA and other sources to identify growth opportunities
+ Collaborate with leadership teams to craft and implement strategic plans, define workstreams, and ensure alignment across stakeholders.
2. Strategic Operations, Business Insight and Analysis
+ Lead local and TA cluster BI&A strategy to generate actionable insights through advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and market research.
+ Identify opportunities and risks, enhance analytical tools, and embed insights into decision-making processes.
**Qualification & Experience:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, science or equivalent
+ Graduate or post graduate qualification in management
+ Diverse experience in multiple roles, different therapeutic areas, business planning and commercial, with minimum 5 years in pharmaceutical industry preferred
+ Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel with deep experience in complex Excel models and large data sets
+ Advanced skills in Power point and presentation skills to concisely and skillfully present market and company data
+ Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across functional areas and markets
+ Self-starter mindset and keen interest in continuous learning and being aware of advances in data visualization, statistical modelling, database design
+ Experience partnering with and influencing senior stakeholders
+ Demonstrated ability to synthesize data, interpret data, and process observations into actional recommendations
+ Ability to interact with and influence senior leadership teams
**Preferred:**
+ Background in Healthcare Consulting, Sales & Marketing and/or Analytics
+ Experience with visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI)
+ Understanding of internal and external stakeholders and ability to influence and collaborate closely to execute the strategy plan is expected.
