Job Description:

L3Harris is currently seeking a Lead, Software Engineer to join our team. This position will be based at our Greenville, TX facility and offers a 9/80 schedule.

Essential Functions:

Software component development, implementation, and integration in LinuxChampions continuous improvement, process innovation, and lessons learned activities into software development process and productsDocument software designs, practices, and development proceduresWrite unit tests and conduct automated testing of resultant softwareConduct automated scanning of software and identify vulnerabilities and defectsEngage and lead code reviews and system design reviewsMentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineersCapable of collaborating closely with other engineers in a small team or working independently as neededManage large, complex project initiatives of substantial importance with minimal oversight or directionFrequently responsible for providing guidance, coaching and training to other employees within area of expertise

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience, or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior relevant experience orIn lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.Ability to obtain/maintain DoD Top Secret/SCI Security ClearanceDemonstrated object-oriented development experience using C++ or JAVADemonstrated experience in Agile development and essentials of DevOpsDemonstrated experience using scripting languages such as Bash & PythonDemonstrated ability to engage with internal/external stakeholders at all levelsDemonstrated ability to analyze requirements and design tradeoffs against scope, cost, and schedule constraints

Preferred Additional Skills:

Demonstrated experience in Design Patterns and FrameworksDatabase experience (SQL, NoSQL) design, queries, performanceWeb service and API design (SOAP, REST, etc.)Software and hardware troubleshooting backgroundDemonstrated experience with software automated test tools and frameworksMulti-threaded, parallel, and/or GPU programming experienceExperience with deployment and maintenance of cloud environments (ex.
