Our Red Chris Mine, located in the heart of Northern British Columbia on the traditional territory of the Tahltan Nation. A short distance from Iskut and Dease Lake, Our fly-in, fly-out site offers access from various points across British Columbia and Alberta. Red Chris is a gold and copper mine located in Taltan Territory, northern British Columbia. Operated by Newmont since 2023, the mine is transitioning from open pit to underground block caving—an innovative method that extends mine life while reducing environmental impact. This transition will create new, technically advanced roles and opportunities to work alongside global experts. Requirements for Success in This RoleBachelor’s degree in engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or related discipline.Significant experience in project planning, scheduling, and controls within mining, construction, or large-scale industrial projects.Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and modern planning systems.Strong understanding of capital project management (cost control, risk management, earned value management).Demonstrated leadership experience, with ability to build, mentor, and guide planning teams.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to present to executives and influence at all levels.Track record of continuous improvement, adopting new technologies and best practices in project controls.Your Work Environment
This role is based in Vancouver and will require frequent travel to the Red Chris Project site. As construction ramps up, there will be an increasing requirement to spend extended time at site.You will work in a hybrid setting that combines office-based responsibilities with on-site engagement, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, EPCMs, and contractors. The role requires adaptability to remote project conditions and flexibility during critical phases, which may include extended hours to meet key milestones.You will be part of a culture rooted in safety, inclusion, and strong partnership with the Taltan Nation and local communities.This is an opportunity to directly shape one of Newmont’s most innovative projects, advancing the first block cave mining operation in Canada.

The expected salary range for this role is CA$CAD 155,040 -\tCAD 203,490 . This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
