As a Professional Development and Training Lead you will assist and work closely with a Senior Manager and the broader professional development team in the design, implementation, delivery and evaluation of comprehensive training programs and initiatives that are aligned with organizational goals; devised to enhance skills, boost performance, foster a culture of continuous learning; and effectively support professional growth and career advancement.   

What will you do?

Assist a Senior Manager and collaborate with the broader professional development team to:  

Plan, execute, and deliver practical training material via various delivery methods (e.g., virtual, in-person, video tutorials, handbooks, job aids, PowerPoint decks, etc.)Create and deliver practical training components of the learning curriculumLiaise with various teams across the country to establish best practices and create and deliver supporting content and guidesDevelop, design, and seamlessly deliver program materialsEstablish and deliver practical training to new and existing employees in your capacity as a subject matter expert (SME)Be the “go to” person for the regions for practical training needs, including acting as mentor and coach to new and existing staffIdentity training and accreditation needs and priorities nationallyGather data on training effectiveness, employee engagement and skills developmentAssess the effectiveness of training programs through collection of feedback and analysisEvaluate employee performance based on training outcomes to include developing standardized evaluation tools and analysisDevelop the strategic vision for professional development and training programsEnsure that training delivery and initiatives align with strategic organizational objectivesAct as a resource to the broader Royal Trust team to leverage any Royal Trust-specific field/estate and trust industry knowledge.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will regularly do business with RBC partners and/or employees across Canada with English and French speaking needs.Excellent presentation and communication skillsAbility to work effectively with others. Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.Excellent organization skills and attention to detail is mandatory.Industry knowledge – STEP TEP designation

Nice-to-have

Experience managing Estate, Trust and Incapacity accounts end to end  Knowledge of Common and Civil Law  Education in adult learningStrong PC skills including Microsoft Office applications including video software for the creation of training tutorials.
