The Opportunity:
At Smurfit Westrock, we believe that learning is a foundation of operational excellence. We’re looking for a Manager of Learning & Organizational Development who will partner to lead the administration of our Cornerstone LMS, working closely with site operations and L&D teams to update, improve, and maintain L&D frameworks supporting role-based onboarding, job certifications, and development processes, as well as play a key role in supporting our Workday implementation as we transition from PeopleSoft.

How will you impact Smurfit Westrock:
Cornerstone LMS Administration & Reporting
Own the day-to-day management of the Cornerstone LMS, including user setup, content deployment, reporting, and system configuration, with a focus on operations focused L&D frameworks for our sites.Continue building out role-based onboarding and departmental training standards using Cornerstone LMS and various technologies to ensure a seamless user experience and accurate reporting.Ensure learning data integrity and compliance tracking across all sites, in partnership with local L&D leads.Leverage PowerBi to create and maintain dashboards supporting L&D operational needs.Partner with internal stakeholders to create and streamline learning assignments, with the goal of improving user experience.Provide ongoing training and support to end users of the Cornerstone LMS, including the creation of process resource guides.Troubleshoot system issues in a timely manner with clear communication and expectation setting.Support the management of vendor relationships with Cornerstone support and various content vendors.Operational Partnership
Serve as the L&D point of contact for site operations, ensuring training programs meet business needs and compliance standards.Support onboarding, safety, and skills development initiatives in alignment with local and divisional operational goals.Facilitate feedback loops with L&D operations and COE leaders to continuously improve training effectiveness and delivery.Workday Implementation Support
Collaborate with HRIS, IT, and L&D teams to support the transition from PeopleSoft to Workday.Assist in mapping learning processes and data for integration with Workday Learning.Participate in testing, validation, and change management efforts to ensure a smooth implementation.Provide training and support to end users during the transition.What you need to succeed:
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, with 3+ years in LMS administration (Cornerstone preferred).Advanced experience in creating and maintaining dashboards leveraging Cornerstone and PowerBi.Strong project management, analytical, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively across functions and locations.Preferred Skills and Certifications:
Cornerstone Learning Management certificationStrong working knowledge of SCORM, LXPs, xAPI, and eLearning standards.Experience in manufacturing or operational environments.Knowledge of PeopleSoft and Workday systems.Experience supporting HRIS implementations, especially Workday, is a strong plus.
