We are currently recruiting for a Lead Health, Hygiene & Emergency Response, who will report directly into the Director Health & Safety. The Lead Health, Hygiene & Emergency Response will play a key part in ensuring our operations remain safe, compliant, and continuously improving. You’ll provide specialist advice across the business, working closely with leadership and frontline teams to drive a strong safety culture. This role is being offered on a 5:2:4:3 roster.

 

 

A day in the life of a Lead Health, Hygiene & Emergency Response may include:

 

Conduct health, hygiene and safety inspections.Lead team members to handle workplace emergencies.Facilitate emergency drills and training, with a continuous improvement focusEvaluate compliance with safety regulations and identify opportunities for improvement, proposing actionable plans.Oversee the availability and functionality of emergency response equipment.Conduct thorough incident investigations and support root cause analysis.Organize and coordinate emergency response teams.Deliver health and safety metrics and provide insights based on emerging trends. Organize and conduct health and safety training across the workforce.Ensure workplace first aid readiness.

 

 

About you:

 

Ideally you will hold formal qualifications in Emergency Management, Occupational Health & Safety, Occupational Hygiene, or an related field.Demonstrated experience in an emergency response, hygiene or Injury management role at an advisor level, ideally within resources, industrial, or heavy industry environments.Solid understanding of WHS legislation, codes of practice, and compliance requirements.Strong leadership, communication, and training delivery skills.Ability to remain calm and effective when responding to emergencies.
