Position Summary

The Lead, Field Engineer - OE/Export position within OTR Field Engineering is responsible for providing technical assistance to OTR OEMs, global Giant Loader Tire (GLT) customers, and supporting Sales and Field Engineering teams globally to increase the sales and performance of Bridgestone and Firestone OTR tires. They will be responsible for managing the technical relationship of various OEMs while being the technical conduit between Field Engineering, Sales, Development, Manufacturing, and Bridgestone Japan. They will take the lead on any field issues concerning Firestone Export products/services and provide engineering/technical expertise.

ResponsibilitiesOwn the technical relationship and provide engineering support for all OTR OEMs (other than CAT).Global support of sales, engineering, quality improvement, and training regarding Giant Loader Tires.Assist Earthmover Product Managers (EPM), Manager Mine Accounts (MMA) and Field Engineers (FE) in monitoring and improving OTR tire performance and product quality in North America (US and Canada).Analysis of all relevant factors which contribute to product performanceAnalysis of customer operating conditionsScrap tire and warranty adjustment analysisSpecial projects and assignments as required to improve and maximize OTR tire performanceSupport Engineering Management and office staff in analysis of performance trends and opportunities for product improvementSupport Customer Service and OTR Tire Dealers with necessary technical and application data to complete sales transactions and improve customer satisfaction.Draft and submit ideas for technical and customer service bulletinsMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical degree8+ years of relevant work experienceProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteStrong communication skills both written and oralProven experience at communicating and working with people at all levelsAbility to communicate technical scenarios/issues in non-technical terms that can be easily understoodWillingness and ability to travel up to 25-50% including internationallyAbility to lift 50 lbs or less
