The hours and location you’ll work in as a Leachate Technician with WM: + Monday – Friday every week + 7am to 5pm + On Call For Evenings and Weekends + We’re committed to offering you stable hours for the financial security and work life balance you need. + The normal setting for this job is our waste disposal site in Waynesburg, OH Those are the key details on pay and schedule – now here’s more on what you’ll be doing as a Leachate Technician at WM. Our waste disposal sites operate a rigorous cleaning schedule to protect the working environment for all our employees. Here’s more of what you’ll do: + To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned. + Maintain and repair mechanical equipment, such as pumps, check valves, floats, level transducers, air compressors that are associated with the LMS. + Work with various site contractors and consultants, as necessary, to improve the LMS. + Use computer SCADA system for operation and troubleshooting of essential leachate management infrastructure. + Perform inspections of the LMS and ensure timely completion of CYCLE (compliance) tasks. + Monitor control panels to ensure proper operation of the LMS. + Maintain records of LMS maintenance activities. + Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor. + Review LMS data (i.e. flow, alarms, sump depths, loadout volume) on a daily basis to ensure proper function of the system. + Follow all safety rules and regulations. + Troubleshoot and repair mechanical components associated with the LMS + Experience in troubleshooting and repairing instrumentation systems What do you need to be considered for the role of Leachate Technician? + A valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record + Must Be Willing to Travel + Be over 18 years of age. + Legally eligible to work in the United States + Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations. + Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.
