Job Description

The Layout Engineer is part of the team responsible for the construction of two EPRs, providing engineering support for the plant's design.

The main activities to be carried out are:

Assessing if the site request has layout impactAssessing and listing the impacts of the site change on all disciplines and other contractors3D models, installation tolerances, introduction notesLiaising with other disciplines (HVAC, Piping, Equipment and Electrical) when neededLiaising with NNB construction Team and installation contractorOpening the dedicated change process to launch the implementation of the impacts;Reporting to the Layout Team Lead achievements, progresses and difficulties and raising alerts on any aspects of the design when identifiedContributing to the closure of design open points after the delivery of packages to site;Anticipates and raises alerts on open technical points;Being part of JDO-DT Layout team, participating to Team meetings, sharing technical topicsManages and monitors the modifications requested by the various engineering teams, contractors and the client.

QualificationsQualified to Degree Level and several years of experienceExperience in previous nuclear projectsGood knowledge 3D design software (Navisworks)Experience on 3D model visualisation for layout analysisGood knowledge and understanding of general layout rulesKnowledge of the general operation of nuclear power station and the associated safety aspects (in particular, aspects relating to nuclear safety, flooding, fire, radiological protection, high energy line ruptures, etc.)
