In this dynamic position, you’ll work closely with sheriffs, chiefs of police, and training personnel to coordinate high-impact training programs that meet POST (Peace Officer Standards & Training) requirements as well as overseeing the LA VINE program. Minimum Qualifications Three years of experience in developing or presenting training programs, policy planning, law enforcement, management analysis, or education; OR Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR A bachelor's degree. EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field. (https://apps01.civilservice.louisiana.gov/onestopjobinfo/DisplayJobSpec.aspx?JobCode=173320) Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: + Oversees the operation of the LA VINE program. + Assists Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST) section. + Coordinates the statewide implementation of the electronic Victim Notice and Registration (VNR) form. + Servers as assistant legislative liaison for the LCLE. + Providing assistance with public records request. + Providing assistance to the LCLE fleet manager. + Providing assistance in processing and payment of award application for the Crime Victims Reparations program.
