Role and Responsibilities
Your Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Senior Product Manager for Laundry, the Junior Product Manager – Laundry, will be responsible for supporting the Senior Product Manager in the creation and flawless execution of the category strategy, contributing to the overall UK Home Appliance strategy.
Purpose of the role
Contribute towards the development and support the implementation of the Laundry product strategy for the UK.
Support with the communication of the business priorities of the Laundry product line, supporting in translating the HQ vision into actionable UK specific plans.
Work with the Senior Product Manager to take accountability for the P&L of the Laundry category and ownership of the Laundry budget ensuring profitable growth.
Complete data deep dives and complete regular and consistent analysis of sell in, sell out and market performance to drive growth within your category.
Work with the wider Product Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing and Commercial teams to develop successful propositions for the Laundry category.
Your day to day responsibilities
Product Strategy
Work with UK HQ, Korean HQ & EU HQ to ensure products are set up with all key UK channel partners in a timely manner ahead of launch.
Regularly review the Laundry category strategy and support with the delivery of this.
Set the £RRP and invoice pricing of Laundry products to ensure the product range is competitive for the target market.
Analyse weekly sell-out figures to measure performance, identify key trends & ensure performance of the category is delivered, suggesting actions required.
Analysis of external data Such as GFK to measure performance, identify key trends & ensure performance of the category is delivered, suggesting actions required.
Provide information to ensure correct product channelisation, product lifecycle management and investment decisions for the Laundry business.
Market Strategy
Work with the Channel Marketing and Brand teams to ensure that the product strategy is correctly communicated.
Work with the Brand teams to set the direction for segmentation of Laundry products in the UK.
Support the Senior Product Manager in developing the quarterly promotional plan & financial simulation for the laundry category, ensuring achievement of key targets and timely approval.
Review and suggest reactions to competitor strategy, communicating insights and actions to UK, EU and Korean HQ.
Support with product category sign off on all marketing & training assets produced.
P&L Accountability
Support the Senior Product manager to deliver the category monthly margin, revenue and stock targets
Work with the wider UK Home Appliance business units to conduct ROI analysis on business opportunities in a timely manner to ensure correct actions are taken
Support with financial modelling & provide scenarios that will help the Senior Product Manager in decision making
Support with monthly & yearly budget planning cycles ensure they are correctly loaded into systems.
Forecasting & Stock Management
Work with the Senior Product Manager to input weekly forecast into the global supply chain systems
Work with demand planning teams to ensure factory teams have correct levels of product supply to meet targets
Work with the commercial sales team to ensure that any variation to plans are managed and communicated
Support the Senior Product Manager to ensure that any aged or surplus stocks have clear action plans to resolve issues quickly & proactively.
Launch Management
Contribute to the development of the launch plan for new products within Laundry portfolio
Take ownership and co-ordinate key stakeholders with the launch to ensure overall delivery of the launch strategy
Find new and innovative solutions to deal with any challenges with launch process and creatively overcome long-term challenges and short-term problems.

Success will be measured by:
Overall support offered in the achieve of the category metrics, including;
Meeting quarterly and yearly targets for Volume, Revenue, Profit, Net Dealer Price
Category Mix performance
Accuracy of commercial forecasts alongside Quality and reliability of reporting
