Nestled along the sweeping banks of the majestic Kafue River, Anantara Kafue River Lodge invites you to be part of an extraordinary safari destination set in one of Africa’s last truly untouched wilderness regions. We are seeking three dedicated Laundry Attendants to join our team in Kafue, Zambia. As a Laundry Attendant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and quality of linens for our camp. The ideal candidates will be organized, efficient, and committed to providing excellent customer service.

Job Description

 

Operate and maintain various laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and folding machinesSort, wash, dry, and fold linens, towels, and other items according to established proceduresEnsure proper handling of different fabric types and follow care instructionsMaintain a clean and organized laundry areaMonitor and report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needsKeep accurate records of laundry processed and supplies usedAssist in inventory management of linens and laundry suppliesCollaborate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of clean linensAdhere to health and safety regulations in the workplaceProvide excellent customer service when interacting with guests or other staff members

QualificationsProficiency in operating laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and folding machinesStrong knowledge of sorting techniques and fabric careFull grade 12 certificateExcellent attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standardsGood physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periodsBasic computer skills for record-keeping and inventory managementStrong time management and organizational skillsAbility to  multi task work independently and as part of a teamExcellent communication skills and customer service orientationPrior experience in laundry services or hospitality industry preferredHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredFlexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed
