Raytheon’s Mission Capability and Verification Center (MCVC) located on White Sands Missile Range, NM is seeking a Launcher Tech. to join the Team.  The candidate will be involved in all types of support of trades, mission activity, and testing support.  General knowledge of troubleshooting, use of standard test equipment and engineering or maintenance processes and procedures are desired.  

What You Will Do

Approximately up to 40% travel required to support assigned systems. Travel is both within WSMR and to other CONUS and OCONUS locations 1 to 3 weeks at a timeProvide support in a field testing environmentCollaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to support various projects to achieve timely completion of established goalsSupport to MCVC as needed outside of primary dutiesMay assist in training, and other functions as required by the job, task or mission.Operation, Maintenance and Sustainment of Patriot M-901 and Patriot M-903 Launchers, before and during testing/Missile Flight Tests.Perform Test Launch/Stray/No-Volt or LSTS/MRCTS for pre-mission Launcher baseline integrity checkout.Support mission execution, which includes movement of Launchers and equipment set-up, including lifting and carrying of equipment 25+ lbs.Support different scheduled times for support set by the government. Be self-managed but work directly with our Government Customer. Perform checkout of telemetry equipment prior to MFT to ensure successful Telemetry capture.Support Live Missile firings.This includes working outdoors under various weather conditions, and in the vicinity of energized equipment, radar radiation hazards, and unexploded ordnance.Other duties as required

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field.Experience with instrumentation and/or test equipment, i.e (oscilloscope, multi-meter and/or spectrum analyzer).Experience with safety and/or maintenance procedures.

Qualifications We Prefer  

Experience with the Patriot PAC-2 and Patriot PAC-3 MSE Launchers.Experience working on a missile test range, supporting Patriot Live Fire Events, both CONUS and OCONUS.Strong written and oral communication skills as it pertains to collaboration within an engineering environment and working with internal and external customersExperience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PP).  Experience to Operate Windows PC with MS officePAC-2 Launcher and missile integration.

Please consider the following role type definition as you apply for this role. Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
