Launch Manager, New Hospitals

ABOUT VEG

In 2014, VEG was born with a mission to help people and their pets when they need it most by challenging norms and fixing the ER experience. Since then, we’ve expanded rapidly, with hospitals nationwide open 24/7/365, and created an ER experience that focuses on what our pets and pet parents really need. We’ve done the same for our people (VEGgies), finding a way to say YES so they are empowered to achieve great things, grow in unexpected ways, and find a place where they truly belong.

We’re rethinking emergency care from every angle—from how we run our hospitals to how we support the people working inside them. That’s where our headquarters team comes in. Whether building technology to make our hospitals more efficient, recruiting and growing incredible VEGgies, or bringing our brand to life through marketing, our VQ (VEG Headquarters) team makes it all possible—ensuring our hospitals and people have everything they need to help pets and their families.

VEG is a 2025 certified Great Place to Work®.

THE JOB

At VEG, we find a way to say YES—so you can lead hospital launches that redefine what emergency medicine feels like for people and their pets. As Launch Manager, you’ll be at the center of our growth story, turning construction sites into fully operational, patient-ready ERs. You’ll lead with impact, adapt quickly, and bring big ideas to life by ensuring every detail comes together seamlessly.

This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in fast-paced, ever-changing environments. You’ll navigate competing priorities with confidence, build trust across teams, and create strong partnerships that fuel success. Think on your feet, solve problems in the moment, and rally VEGgies around a shared goal because at VEG, every launch matters.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Oversee New Hospital Site Setups Nationwide: Manage the execution of multiple hospital site setups across the country, ensuring each project is delivered on time and to specification.  Lead On-Site Setup and Training: Take charge of the site setup week for your assigned locations, coordinating with local teams (VEGgies) to ensure seamless training and efficient operations in preparation for the opening day.  Collaborate Across Cross-Functional Teams: Partner with key departments—construction, facilities, regulatory, procurement, inventory, IT, and training—to plan and execute each setup within the project’s defined timeframe. Stakeholder Communication and Issue Management: Maintain daily communication with project stakeholders, providing status updates and promptly identifying and escalating any potential challenges to ensure the smooth execution of each setup.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Exceptional Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong written, verbal, and active listening skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and build relationships with stakeholders.  Adaptability and Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to think outside the box and solve problems under pressure while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.  Self-Sufficiency and Travel Flexibility: Comfortable working autonomously when not traveling, with the ability to travel up to 70% of the time, including overnights and weekends, to new sites for hospital setups.  Operational and Technical Expertise: A detailed understanding of medical or veterinary operations and workflows is preferred, as well as proficiency with business systems (e.g., Microsoft Office, G-Suite, SmartSheet, Monday.com, Trello). Knowledge of change management and a solution-oriented, collaborative mindset are key.  Physical and Organizational Readiness: Must be able to stand for long periods and lift at least 30lbs. Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills are essential for managing multiple tasks and projects effectively.
