Job Description
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
Support the LATAM Area Financial Planning Manager leading all activities related mainly to LBE and monthly close process and also Plan/LRP. Act as a business Partner for the Immunology Therapeutic Area (also potential support to the other Tas), working directly with the InterCon Commercial Directors, Market Access, and Medical team. Provide guidance and training to the affiliate FP&A team and support in the automation of process and reports.
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Month end close and LBEs.
+ Prepare guidance, templates, and calendar in alignment with InterCon and Regional LATAM Management. Actively support Affiliates throughout the process.
+ Prepare and present LBEs to LATAM VP and InterCon team.
+ Support monthly close and LBE process focusing on the TAs support.
+ Identify KPIs to be specifically monitored during the reviews and prepare customized analysis in accordance.
+ Active participation in the reviews, analysis consolidation, submission (numbers / reports / book) and communications at regional level to InterCon team.
+ Partner with Area FP&A Manager, Area FD, and Area VP in the elaboration of the Area book.
+ Ensure follow-up with InterCon on all questions and supplemental information required post regional review.
+ LA HQ Expense Review: Ensure our LA expenses gaiting, review and analysis are in line with our investment strategy. Monthly meetings with Commercial, Medical and Access Mangers to review Close and LBE regarding our investments. Manage and coordinate with affiliates and FSS all Quarterly Performance Charges.
+ ADS reconciliation commentary reports to InterCon team.
+ Plan and LRP
+ Consolidate and provide analytical support for Plan and LRP to deliver comprehensive and balanced submission to LATAM VP and InterCon HQ. This involves ensuring accuracy, timeliness and consistency with all affiliate submissions and building book requirements and guidance to Region and Affiliates.
+ Work closely with InterCon to set direction for all planning, including training and supporting all commercial models with our affiliates, preparing Plan and LRP books for review with Area VP and senior management, and ensuring the end-to-end processes of all planning is fully adhered.
+ Act as a business Partner during all processes with Commercial Directors, Market access and Medical team.
+ Provide system and process training to the affiliates.
+ Ensure alignment between all stakeholders in the process.
+ Support Area and Affiliate teams with various commercial modeling, budget support planning, and Corporate Planning system support.
+ BPC oversight and support:
+ As LATAM’s Lead, responsible for working directly with InterCon to coordinate all testing activities required from LATAM perimeter and provide comprehensive feedback after each major planning cycle.
+ Provide system training to the affiliate.
+ Projects.
+ Support key projects and initiatives, management reporting and optimization and support process improvements. Supports ad hoc analysis as required by Manager or Area FD.
+ Lead the automation process across affiliates (Power BI and other improvements)
+ Finance Business Partnership:
+ As Business Partner to the Therapeutic Area (rotation of the TA support by cycle), ensure key strategic projects managed by the Region are properly funded and timely executed.
+ Be an active member of the LATAM discussions, prepare financial presentations and support the brand team in all financial aspects.
+ Provide financial support for the preparation of TA section of PLN + LRP books, as well as for the in-depth review by InterCon.
+ Ensure Commercial Models clearly reflect all assumptions agreed upon during the reviews held with Regional VP.
+ Provide financial analysis, monthly sales reports and deliver insight that links financial reports to business strategies.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
+ Financial/Accounting – essential.
+ 5-10 years of experience in finance/accounting with evident success.
+ Candidate should have a business partner mindset and prior experience working with commercial teams.
+ Strong communication skills to effectively present financial information to non-financial audiences.
+ Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
+ Fully fluent in English (written, oral and reading skills) are a priority.
+ Spanish or Portuguese preferred
+ Self-motivated with the energy and ability to take the initiative on relevant issues.
+ Systems experience across SAP, HFM, BPC, Power BI preferred.
+ Advanced Excel advanced skills are a priority.
