Laser Broadway Line Lead - 1st Shift - $27.60/hr
**Stryker** is hiring a **Laser Broadway Line Lead** to be responsible for both leading a production team (50%) and performing hands-on product assembly (50%). Under supervisory guidance, this role ensures production goals are met while maintaining product quality and compliance. **Work Schedule:** First Shift, Monday through Thursday 4:00am to 2:30pm **What you will do:** + Lead daily operations of the production line, including assigning tasks and managing overtime schedules. + Perform assembly tasks such as soldering, adhesive bonding, machine operation, packaging, labeling, and inspection. + Coordinate vacation and sick leave requests for team members. + Conduct or facilitate on-the-job training for new and existing staff. + Monitor and report on line performance metrics; escalate issues and deviations as needed. + Maintain product quality and integrity throughout the production process. + Support and participate in NC/CAPA action items and quality initiatives. + Manage administrative tasks including Catch of the Day Program and meeting logistics. + Provide objective performance feedback and weekly performance summaries. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth production flow. + Present updates at weekly, monthly, or quarterly meetings as required. + Perform other duties as assigned by management. **What you need:** **Education & Experience** : + High school diploma or equivalent or a minimum of 5 years of experience in medical device production. + At least 3 years of experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or biotech industry. + Internal candidates must be at PBIII or PBIV level. **Skills & Competencies** : + Proficient in reading and interpreting safety, operational, and maintenance documentation. + Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. + Demonstrated ability to follow procedures with moderate technical understanding. + Familiarity with cGMP/QSR standards and basic measuring instruments. + Basic computer literacy and arithmetic skills. + High attention to detail and manual dexterity for precision tasks (e.g., soldering, microscope work). + Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work overtime as needed. **Physical & Cognitive Requirements:** + The Laser Broadway Line Lead role involves a combination of standing, sitting, and walking throughout the shift. Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to use microscopes and small hand tools are essential. Tasks may require manipulating small components and using fingers or hands for detailed assembly work. + Employees may occasionally lift or move items up to 25 pounds and could be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, or chemicals. The work environment is typically moderate in noise level, and appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)—including safety glasses, respirators, and cleanroom attire—is required.
