Job Description

This Machine Operator role involves operating multiple pieces of automated machinery to perform a lapping process for silicon wafer manufacturing. The position is set within a semi-cleanroom environment, requiring operators to wear specific personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses or goggles, gloves, hair nets, safety shoes, and a two-piece uniform. Ear plugs are optional. Shifts are 12 hours long, with alternating schedules that include working every other weekend, and may require additional overtime. Night shift operators receive a 15% pay differential and may initially train on the day shift.

ResponsibilitiesOperate robotic or automated equipment to load and unload wafers and tools.Follow complex procedures to ensure wafers are processed according to customer requirements.Monitor, analyze, and verify data and processes to meet quality standards.Respond to and troubleshoot tool alarms.Perform cleaning tasks to maintain equipment and area standards.Ensure tasks are completed using safe behaviors and act as a role model for safety.Essential SkillsAbility to perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, lifting, and using repetitive motions.Proficiency in computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.Strong mathematical aptitude, including the ability to compute percentages and decimals.Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrior production experience is preferred.Capability to work well with others and manage time effectively.Why Work Here?

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vancouver, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.15/hr.
