We are seeking a skilled Language Specialist to join our team in the Tokyo Office on a 12-month contract basis, with a focus on the German language. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing language assets' logic and coherence, grammar and punctuation, spelling, consistency, style, language usage, and formatting, improving customer streaming experience with Amazon language solutions. Tasks may include proofreading and editing subtitles, metadata, and a variety of other written communications.

IMPORTANT: This is not a remote position, you are required to work on site. Open to German applicants expected to work from the Tokyo Office.


Key job responsibilities
- Conduct Linguistic Quality Assurance checks on audio, subtitles, narratives, video, and artwork to ensure overall content quality
- Support the implementation of language-related processes to ensure consistency and quality of German language services
- Collaborate with team members to understand language requirements and deliver quality results
- Stay current with best practices in language services, particularly related to the streaming and entertainment industry
- Contribute to the improvement of language processes and workflows
- Share knowledge and support other team members on German language-related matters
