The Landscaper's responsibilities include operating all heavy machinery, experience working with equipment, overseeing small crew work assignments, and inspecting the grounds and landscape contracts daily. The Landscaper will provide outstanding landscape conditions on a daily basis. QUALIFICATIONS: Essential: Strong interpersonal skills; team oriented. Ability to comprehend instructions General knowledge of how to operate hand tools, small equipment, and follow directions. Ability to work 5 days a week, weekends and holidays. Perform job responsibilities and operate equipment according to the company safety and training programs SKILLS: Essential: Knowledge of safe and efficient operation of small equipment. Ability to safely use hand and power tools and equipment. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to lift at least 50 pounds on a regular basis. Ability to work outdoors for long periods of time, sometimes in inclement weather. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Oversees the completion of work assignments by superintendent and assists with field decisions regarding job procedures, work standards and machinery use Maintains fuel and fluid levels for all types of equipment on a daily basis. Reports equipment problems or failure to the equipment technicians immediately. Returns all equipment to the designated location at the maintenance facility, and takes responsibility for cleaning any equipment he/she has used. Supervises in project work such as planting of flowers, shrubs, and plants. Assists with any other projects that may arise through the season. Manages all yard maintenance services provided by club, including but not limited to, yard maintenance, perennial and annual plantings, irrigation installation and programming, chemical treatments, mowing schedules, and fertilizer treatments. Ability to work outdoors for long periods of time, sometimes in inclement weather. Enforces safe working conditions with all job assignments and is responsible for instructing associates on proper equipment use and work methods. Reports landscape conditions and all disciplinary problems. SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS: Maintains effective communication and cooperation with all other departments.
