Job Title:  Landscape Tech II

Job Summary:

The Landscape Team Member is responsible for maintaining the appearance and safety of outdoor areas across the facility. This role involves hands-on field work including mowing, trimming, pesticide application, concrete repair, and operating various equipment such as tractors and lifts. The team member will also complete basic administrative tasks and uphold strict safety standards as part of EMCOR’s commitment to a “Zero Hero” workplace. Ideal candidates are dependable, safety-conscious, and capable of performing physically demanding tasks in a team-oriented environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES 

Field Work (95%)

Perform routine landscaping tasks including mowing, edging, weed-eating, and trimming. Maintain cleanliness of sidewalks, parking lots, and ditch banks. Apply chemical treatments and pesticides as needed. Conduct tree trimming and branch clearing. Assist with basic irrigation system maintenance and repairs. Operate pressure washing equipment for cleaning surfaces. Perform minor concrete repairs. Safely operate tractors and lift equipment for landscaping and maintenance tasks. Carry out other related duties as assigned to support team operations.

Administrative Tasks (5%)

Accurately complete timesheets, paid time off request forms, and other required documentation.

 Safety Responsibilities (100%)

Maintain personal safety awareness and take responsibility for working within your physical limits. Support and uphold the company’s “Zero Hero” safety culture. Demonstrate safe work attitudes and behaviors—working safely is a condition of employment. Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Understand and follow all safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or related field is a plus. Ability to safely operate landscaping equipment including tractors, lifts, and pressure washers. Familiarity with pesticide application and chemical safety procedures. Basic knowledge of irrigation systems and minor concrete repair techniques. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. Valid driver’s license may be required depending on equipment operation needs.

Physical Requirements

Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and performing physical labor for extended periods. Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Ability to safely operate machinery and equipment. Must be able to wear required PPE and follow safety protocols at all times.
