Landscape Development Internship
**Description** **The Best Teams are Created and Maintained Here.** **Landscape Development Intern** Looking for an opportunity where success comes naturally? Then you may have found your crew. We’re looking for a **Landscape Development Intern** to join our team. Our internship program will prepare you for leadership positions both on and off the jobsite. This program provides exposure across operational divisions, giving you hands-on experience in landscape construction, project engineering and field management. Interns gain experience both in the field and in the office, supporting estimating, preconstruction and project coordination efforts while learning about multiple career paths within our organization. The rotational will include but not be limited to the following: • **Landscape & Safety** – Assisting field supervision with daily project coordination; proper handling and installation of plant materials, hardscape elements and irrigation systems; monitoring quality control; supporting jobsite safety initiatives and safe equipment operation; tracking field production quantities and progress • **Estimating & Preconstruction** – Gathering, calculating and compiling quantity take-off data; assembling bid proposal estimates; assisting with change order pricing; soliciting and coordinating subcontractor/vendor quotes; supporting cost tracking efforts • **Project Coordination** – Working alongside a Project Manager to manage document control including RFIs, submittals, change orders, billings, field production tracking, purchasing documentation and contract administration; assisting with scheduling of materials, equipment and subcontractors; participating in team meetings and project planning **You might be a good fit if you are:** • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Horticulture or related disciplines such as Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Science, Construction Management, Agriculture-Business, Landscape Design or Plant Science • Ability to commit to a 12-week internship **And while not mandatory, it would be great if you also have** : • Effective oral and written communication skills • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • A strong work ethic and interest in field-based operations • Proficiency with computer software programs including MS Office suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) **Here’s what to know about working here:** At BrightView, we’re a tight-knit crew who are as passionate about caring for our clients as we are about each other.
