One where self-directed, empowered employees have our trust and full support to realize their potential as they strive to make a bigger and better impact on their communities and careers every day. **As a Gas Plant Technician with us the minimum responsibilities are:** + Monitor and maintain components of the biomethane plant to ensure safe and efficient performance. + Perform daily operations throughout the gas collection field includingmonitoring, inspecting, cleaning, repairing, and maintaining systems, equipment, and buildings. + Troubleshootand restart equipment after unscheduled shutdowns or trips (mechanical, electrical, electronic, andplumbing). + Collect, record, and analyze plant performance data. + Collect, record, and report leachate levels in Landfill Gas collection wells + Conduct routine and non-routine preventative maintenance on equipment. + Operate forklifts and man lifts as required. + Inspectand examine machinery to detect potential failures and prevent unplanned downtime. + Close work ordersand document completed tasks using the plant’s ComputerizedMaintenance ManagementSystem (CMMS). + Order necessary parts, supplies, and tools. + Performsnow removaland deicing of the facility. + Comply with all company policies, procedures, andsafety regulations. **What We Need From You:** + A **G1** Gas Technician License is Required + A safety-first mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving safety issues. + Minimum of three (3) years of experience in facility operation and maintenance. + Strong aptitude in electrical orinstrumentationsystems is an asset. + Experience withSCADAsystems, blowers, thermal oxidizers, adsorption vessels, gas-fired engines, or gas compression equipment is considered an asset. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) is an asset. + Ability to work independently as a self-starter and collaboratively within a team. + Willingness to participate in on-call rotation (approximately 1 week per month) and be within a 30-minute drive from the site during on-call periods. + Flexibility to work rotating shifts (initially bi-weekly day/evening shifts, transitioning to day shift only). **What You’ll Get From Us:** + Competitive wages: up to $24.00/h based on experience + Retirement plan with company match to help you save for your future. + Comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, and Vision. + Perks including an Employee Assistance Program, Scholarship Opportunities for children, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan. + Insurance coverage including Life, Short-Term, and Long-Term Disability. **_We thank all applicants for their interest but advise only those selected for an interview will be contacted._** **_Waste Connections of Canada is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
