Job Description

We're looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Land Surveyor - Marine to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this pivotal role, you will conduct precise marine surveys, collect and analyze critical data, and provide essential information that drives the success of our marine and coastal projects throughout the region. Your expertise will be instrumental in supporting our commitment to excellence and innovation in marine engineering and development initiatives.

Set up, calibrate, and operate specialized marine surveying equipment with precision and attention to detailConduct bathymetric surveys to accurately measure and map underwater terrain for project planning and analysisPerform hydrographic surveys supporting coastal engineering and offshore development projectsInspect, maintain, and troubleshoot surveying equipment to ensure optimal accuracy and operational reliabilityCollect, process, and analyze survey data using advanced software tools and GIS applicationsPrepare comprehensive reports, detailed charts, and accurate maps based on survey findings and project requirementsCollaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to support marine construction and development initiativesEnsure strict compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and quality assurance protocolsMaintain organized, accurate, and up-to-date project documentation and recordsParticipate actively in safety briefings and adhere to all marine safety protocols and operational proceduresTravel to various coastal and offshore sites throughout the UAE as project demands requireIdentify and resolve technical challenges in the field with analytical thinking and decisive action

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related fieldMinimum of 7 years of professional experience in marine surveying operationsProficiency in operating marine surveying equipment, including GPS systems and sonar technologyDemonstrated expertise with data processing software and GIS applicationsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to precision and accuracyExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishPhysical fitness and capability to work in challenging offshore and coastal conditionsProven ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary teamComprehensive knowledge of marine safety protocols and offshore operational proceduresFamiliarity with industry standards and regulatory compliance requirements for marine projectsWillingness to travel extensively to coastal and offshore sites throughout the UAEStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslySafety-conscious mindset with demonstrated commitment to maintaining high safety standards
