Job Title: Civil Land Development EngineerJob Description Join a dynamic family-owned land development, surveying, and structural firm as an emerging engineer within the Land Development practice in the North Raleigh area. This role offers the opportunity to engage in diverse civil site projects, including parks, recreation facilities, residential developments, corporate campuses, and mixed-use commercial projects. Responsibilities + Conduct engineering design and analysis for civil site projects using applicable software and design methodologies. + Assist with the preparation of project construction documents, including construction drawings, specifications, details, and calculation submittals when necessary. + Coordinate with project team members such as architects, structural engineers, MEP engineers, contractors, and owners, as well as internal team members. + Perform construction administration by reviewing project shop drawings, responding to contractor RFIs, and conducting site inspections. + Complete site visits and client interviews to gather necessary field information for project design. Essential Skills + Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Bio & Ag Engineering, or a closely related discipline. + EIT or EI certification is required. Eligibility to obtain a Professional Engineering license within 2 years is preferred. + Minimum of 2 years of civil engineering design experience in a civil/site or stormwater focused role. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Civil 3D/Carlson/MicroStation Software. Experience with GIS applications, StormCAD, or other drainage software is a plus. + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Desire to collaborate and interact with team members and clients. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in preparing site plans including site layout, utilities, grading, drainage, erosion control, and stormwater management. + Willingness to engage with clients to maintain open lines of communication and ensure client satisfaction. Work Environment The office is located in the North Hills area, providing easy access without the main area's traffic congestion. The company prefers individuals to work in the office 3-4 days per week, with the flexibility to work from home 1-2 days a week. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Raleigh, North Carolina. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
