D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Land Accountant. The right candidate will apply the principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports; maintain budgets and projected costs regarding land/lot acquisitions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Review job costs for budget variances, cost code errors, dollar amount errors on invoices, etc., for land/lot acquisitionsReview Gross Profit Margins of subdivisionsConduct monthly close procedures and ensure that deadlines are metOversee Due Diligence Reconciliation and reviewCreate land spreadsheet for paymentsRun various reports and perform budget tracking

Prepare/update land acquisition proformas (LAPs), Forestar proformas, and the Financial Project System (FPS)

Run a weekly funding request

Assist vendors with any questionsAssist with reconciling transactions and budgets pertaining to homes sold for the end of month processConducts all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the companyAbility to travel overnight
