It manages all functions of the LIS, providing technical and supervisory direction to multiple laboratory units. Qualifications: A Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science plus three (3) years of professional level experience as a medical technologist. Substitutions: An associate Degree in Medical technology or Clinical Laboratory Science with four (4) years of clinical laboratory experience will substitute for the Baccalaureate degree. License/Certifications: Current Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners license as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist. Necessary Special Requirement: Position in Human Testing Laboratory; Licensed to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technician in the State of Louisiana as required by Louisiana Clinical Laboratory Personnel Law R.S. 37:1311-1329 and the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners.
