The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving and storing cattle and sheep in accordance with animal welfare best practice guidelines.

Responsibilities

The Role

Unloading and transferring animals to holding pens prior to slaughter;Reading ear tags and allocating kill numbers; Checking permits and carrying out FCI and transport audits;Ensuring permits and information is put on to the system correctly;Assist with the daily cleaning schedule in Lairage;Maintaining Health, Safety and Hygiene Standards in accordance with company rules and regulations. Qualifications

The Person

Possess GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent);Previous experience in cattle and sheep handling is essential;Knowledge of animal welfare best practice;Must have the ability to work on their own initiative whilst also working as part of a team;IT Skills essential
