This role collaborates closely with nursing and medical staff to ensure optimal care for both the breastfeeding mother and infant. **Responsibilities** 1. **Breastfeeding Assessment & Support** Evaluate breastfeeding effectiveness and provide appropriate interventions and education to prevent or address feeding challenges. 2. **Support for Non-Breastfeeding Infants** Assist mothers of infants unable to breastfeed in establishing and maintaining milk supply, including proper storage and handling of expressed milk. 3. **Collaborative Care** Work with primary care providers and healthcare teams to implement feeding interventions tailored to the medical needs of the infant and/or mother. 4. **Education & Training** Deliver breastfeeding education to patients, hospital staff, and community partners.
