Position Summary
The LAC & Tequila Procurement Governance Manager is responsible for driving and sustaining risk management activities across the full Procurement lifecycle — from sourcing, contracting to Supplier Performance and Supplier Business Continuity.
This role collaborates closely with Procurement and cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with governance, quality, and regulatory standards while enabling the successful execution of the Procurement strategy.
With a technical foundation in quality, health & safety, and compliance, the manager focuses on operational perfection, risk identification, and the implementation of effective controls.
The role also supports the rollout of the Procurement Strategy Program by ensuring adherence to policies and processes, safeguarding supplier continuity, and reinforcing consistent, safe procurement practices aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Governance, Quality & H&S: Implement and oversee Governance and Quality H&S standards to enable Procurement strategy; ensure adherence to Global Standards and define compliance roadmaps.
Continuous Improvement & Excellence: Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational perfection across Procurement and multifunctional teams.
Risk Management & Continuity: Identify procurement and supply risks; develop mitigation and contingency plans; support market teams in supplier continuity and bring up issues when needed.
Contracting & Compliance: Align contracting practices with Category Strategy and Global Guidelines; supervise and audit practices to safeguard compliance.
Capability & Change Management: Design training programs for the Risk & Governance team and customers; demotivate change equipping teams with the right skills and tools.
Supplier Quality & Performance: Establish supervising mechanisms to ensure supplier compliance with standards; partner with technical authorities to close gaps and improve performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with internal and global teams to address risks and compliance challenges; build alignment and accountability.
Sustainability & Responsible Sourcing: Strengthen Diversity & Inclusion across LAC; support sustainability goals through responsible sourcing practices.
Data & Insights: Generate and analyze data to provide actionable insights; ensure decisions are advised by robust analysis and risk management.
Qualification
Problem-solving skills to interpret data and provide actionable insights and implement effective and sustainable solutions
Technical Knowledge: Understanding of operations and supply chain management, with expertise in quality systems and industry standards
Capable of delivering training and enhancing team skills through clear communication.
Cross-Functional Collaboration experience, with confirmed ability to engage and influence global or regional teams
Experience in Risk Management and Compliance with exposure to global standards, governance frameworks, and audits.
Strong communication skills in English and Spanish (written and oral)
