Job Description
The Electronics and Test Engineer will be responsible for developing specifications, testing, inspections, and documentation for electronics components and their replacement parts specifically for nuclear power plant applications. This role requires interfacing with Sourcing and Quality personnel, as well as suppliers and product departments.
ResponsibilitiesSupport the team in resolving technical issues related to current projects, equipment under test, or in-service platforms.Ensure timely delivery of detailed design and technical support for manufacturing and tests.Provide power electronic solutions for products and projects.Demonstrate expertise in analog and digital electronics design by managing requirements, designing, verifying, and testing power distribution and controls products.Utilize knowledge of the product development lifecycle to provide technical support to the team and the broader business.Exhibit excellent technical problem-solving skills by thoroughly assessing problems and driving logical conclusions.Develop manual or automated production test procedures to ensure product reliability and functionality.Provide technical support to technicians for various testing activities.Essential SkillsProficiency in LabVIEW and TestStand.Expertise in analog and digital electronics.Experience in test equipment and test engineering.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in electrical/electronic engineering from an accredited university or college, or equivalent qualification.Minimum of 3 years of experience in power electronics in an engineering role.Prior experience with National Instruments LabVIEW and TestStand.Self-starter with a results-oriented approach and ability to multi-task.Eagerness to learn and expand skills.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Strong teamwork, coordination, and communication skills.Demonstrated technical leadership in integration activities.Experience in the nuclear industry.Willingness to travel as needed.Work Environment
The role involves a dynamic work environment where the engineer will be engaging with various technologies and equipment related to electronics and testing within nuclear power plant applications. The position may require occasional travel and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $85.00/hr.
