DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Laborer at Ebensburg Center, you will have a diverse range of tasks and responsibilities. Your work will involve performing unskilled and limited semi-skilled labor, such as operating hand mowers to cut grass, using weed whackers to trim trees and bushes, and assisting with landscaping activities like laying down tan bark, mulch, or mushroom soil. You will also be responsible for digging and cleaning drainage ditches and culverts, as well as filling in washouts. Additionally, you may be required to load and unload various supplies, move furniture and office supplies, and handle other items as directed. This work could involve manually loading and unloading trucks with materials such as sand, gravel, ashes, and recycled materials, or using a shovel to do so. Other duties may include clearing snow and ice from roads, sidewalks, and parking areas using a shovel, blower, or ice chopper. Overall, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the facility and ensuring that it is a safe and welcoming environment for all.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
+ Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
+ Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
+ Overtime and travel as operationally necessary
+ FREE parking!
+ Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
+ Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

+ This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
