**Job Title: Laborer**
**Job Description**
This performance-based role involves the hardware installation of C4ISR and network-related systems onboard a vessel in San Diego, CA. The project is expected to run for four weeks, with a work schedule of ten hours per day, six days per week.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform routine work technical trades duties to support technical repairs and installations.
+ Work from blueprints and technical manuals.
+ Apply job skills and company policies to complete a wide range of tasks based on job, contract, customer requirements, and specifications.
+ Perform semi-skilled and unskilled laboring duties related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of various systems and equipment.
**Essential Skills**
+ General labor experience.
+ Firewatch proficiency.
+ Experience in shipyard and shipboard environments.
+ Experience with ship repair and the use of hand tools.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Must be eligible to obtain a DBIDS to work on North Island Naval Base (Coronado).
+ High School education or Trade School or equivalent preferred.
+ 1 year of related experience is preferred.
+ Knowledge and experience using basic hand tools.
+ Experience working in a team environment.
+ Ability to follow safety protocols and procedures.
+ Capability to provide own hand tools as designated per trades specialty.
+ Knowledge and experience in a trades specialty (mechanical, electrical, welding, HVAC, fitting) preferred.
+ Candidates who have completed a vocational school or skilled trades certificate program within the last two years are preferred.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and related technical documents is a plus.

**Work Environment**
Work will be conducted aboard a vessel on Naval Air Station North Island (Coronado, Pier J). Employees will work in shifts: First Shift from 0500 am to 1530 pm, and Second Shift from 1500 pm to 0130 am. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and the use of basic hand tools.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of San Diego, CA.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
