Job Title: Construction Laborer

Job Description

Aerotek is hiring immediately for a construction laborer in Greenwich, CT! We are seeking a dedicated construction laborer to join our team. Hiring for a reputable family run utility/paving company! You will be part of a dynamic workforce that handles a variety of tasks on different construction sites, including grading, shoveling, crushing stone, and assisting with pipe and sewer line installations. This position is full time offering competitive pay and benefits. No prior experience is required as comprehensive training will be provided on-site.

Responsibilities

Assist with grading the site by holding a laser level stick.Perform shoveling and stone crushing tasks.Aid in the installation of pipes and sewer lines.Travel to various construction sites as required.Follow instructions and work in all weather conditions.

Essential Skills

Possession of a vehicle and the ability to drive to locations ranging from Greenwich to Orange.Basic understanding of an outdoor construction site.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Any type of construction labor experience is ideal but not required.Willingness to learn technical skills.Experience in trenching, digging, and moving materials.Safety training, such as OSHA 10, is preferred.Strong work ethic and reliability.

Work Environment

Work is typically Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts. Start times vary from 6:30 AM to 8:00 AM, followed by an 8-hour workday with a 30-minute lunch break. Employees must travel independently to job sites, as carpooling is not an option. The team currently consists of two operators and three laborers.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Monroe, Connecticut.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
