Ecolab is seeking a Laboratory Technologist to join our team in (City, State –if applicable). As a Laboratory Technologist, you’ll support the development of new processes and test methods by performing stability testing, process characterization, and quality analysis. You’ll also maintain and troubleshoot lab instruments, contribute to continuous improvement, and grow into a subject matter expert—eventually mentoring and training new technicians as part of a high-performing team.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
Assist in development of formulations for a variety of applications
Participate in scientific discussion, critical thinking and innovation projects
Assist in maintaining the productivity and organization of a process lab
Maintain and develop Standard Operating Procedures and experiment in creation of new test methods
Assist in experimental process execution and analysis
Use laboratory equipment and complex pieces of equipment
Maintain a clean and safe workspace; be a safety leader for the lab
Make measurements, perform several quantitative and qualitative tests, perform data analysis, evaluate experimental results and investigate new process test methods
Write summaries, procedures and appropriate documentation and supply to internal customers
Use laboratory/process equipment and perform troubleshooting/preventative maintenance as needed

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED
6 years of lab/chemical experience
Experience using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, or relevant science discipline
Proficiency and expertise in utilizing, calibrating, and maintaining technical laboratory equipment
Experience with statistical methods for data analysis and trending
Strong interpersonal communication skills, including excellent oral and technical writing capabilities
Experience multi-tasking and managing numerous projects simultaneously
