Job Description

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for pre-analytical processes within the life cycle of the laboratory specimen: collection, packaging, shipping, receiving, processing, tracking, and archivingInterfaces with Eurofins DPT clients to resolve specimen issuesAbility to solve problems pertaining to day-to-day dutiesRecommends changes in services, processes, and policies that enhance pre-analytical efficienciesRevise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Serves as a resource for technicianIs a resource for technologist and department managementSurfaces problems to SupervisorAids in implementing changes and corrective action to help with process improvementWorks with Quality Assurance to resolve client complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, and making recommendation to managementAbility to train subordinate technicians in all aspects of job dutiesComfort interacting with inspectors (regulatory bodies, clients)Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededPerforms duties in compliance with all applicable regulatory and accrediting agenciesAssists department as needed with routine operationsSupports Eurofins DPT’s business philosophy, leadership values, and ethicsIn order to meet Eurofins DPT’s quality policy and objectives, all employees are expected to meet basic expectations of Eurofins DPT’s quality management system including, but not limited to good workmanship, adherence to standard operational procedures, training, good documentation practices, and accurate recordkeeping.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

High School diploma or equivalent

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

2+ years of relevant experience working in a clinical laboratory settingMust meet Technician II CriteriaStrong internal and external customer service skillsStrong communication and analytical skills

 POTENTIAL ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS

This laboratory carefully maintains all hazardous materials.  All employees must abide by Eurofins DPT’s Safety and Exposure procedures.  This includes using the provided safety clothing and equipment.For a list of potential chemical hazards, see appropriate MSDS sheet.

Compensation:

$22.00 - $24.50

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
