Job Description
The laboratory technician will work in a cleanroom setting to manufacture medical products for customers around the world.
Responsibilities
Perform pipetting, sample preparation, and media preparation.Assist in filling and packaging of products, including the use of automated instruments.Properly and accurately label products.Collaborate with scientists and technicians to perform routine laboratory tasks and maintenance.Assist in washing, cleaning, and maintenance of reusable materials and instruments.Conduct periodic inventory on packaging materials and replacement parts.Learn and perform proper handling and waste collection of acids, bases, and other biohazards.Contribute to maintaining accurate production records, maintenance logs, inspections, temperature records, and water systems.Support and comply with onsite safety program and report any safety hazards to the supervisor.Aid in the development, maintenance, and continual improvement of the Quality Management System.Perform other duties as assigned, including cross-functional tasks across the site.Essential Skills
Experience in pipetting, sample preparation, and media preparation.Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and biology.Ability to prepare buffers.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Previous lab experience or experience in a GMP environment is highly advantageous.Ability to follow lab procedures or prior education in the industry is beneficial.Work Environment
This position is based in a cleanroom environment. The role involves the manufacturing of products used in infectious diseases and diagnostics. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with additional hours as needed. The work culture offers a small company feel with strong job security backed by a large corporation. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
