Job DescriptionEurofins Environment Testing is seeking a Laboratory Manager to join our team!
Responsibilities
Oversee all activities and employees of the locationProject management of all received samples and projects as neededAnalyze microbiology and inorganic testing on potable and non-potable water samplesPerform monthly environmental testing (water, surfaces, air) and annual calibrationsReceive and log potable water and non-potable water samples from clientsCreate microbiological and chemical projects and reports and corresponding invoicesPrepare various media types for sample analysisSubmit all compliance drinking water to Oregon State Heath Authority and EPA as neededAnswer and respond to all client correspondence via phone and emailSchedule all equipment calibration and maintain diligent recordsSchedule all sample collections performed by the locationConsult public on testing and sampling procedures Consult water systems and utilities on testing and sampling procedures Maintain laboratory supply inventory Maintain all SOPs and training documents Maintain all NELAP certification requirements including but not limited to: proficiency testing, internal audits, logbook audits, on-site audits by accreditation body and audit responses Act as onsite Quality Control Officer Maintain and organize clients chemical and sampling schedules along with bottle orders and personalized CoCs.Ability to analyze samples on weekends, holidays and on call, as neededQualificationsSkills/Qualifications
Aseptic techniqueExcellent customer serviceReliable, timely and punctualMultitasking with strong time managementWork within strict time requirements of microbiology testsExcellent documentation, computer and organization skillsMust be able to communicate effectively with lab personnel and clientsPrevious knowledge of environmental testing and compliance regulations is desiredEducation/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, biology, or equivalent 2 years customer experience preferredMinimum of two weeks training at academic institution in microbiological analysis of drinking water or 80 hours on the job trainingAdditional InformationPosition is full-time salaried, Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm with possibility of longer hours and weekends as needed.
The salary range for this position is $59,000 - $75,000 annually.
