Compensation: $40.00-43.00/hourLocation: The Woodlands, TXAssignment Duration: 9 months+Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, hybrid, 40 hours +Benefits: Comprehensive with 401K, holidays and PTO Responsibilities Leads in the development and implementation of Laboratory site-specific Health, Safety, Environmental procedures that conform to corporate Company requirementsConduct site self-audits to ensure Lab personnel are complying with EHSLeads and/or participate in the investigation of incidents, identifying root causes, and assists in initial report preparation. Prepares a timely final report of findings with recommendations for corrective actionsAssist and lead in conducting risk assessments including Job Safety Analysis and other assessments as neededConduct regular safety audits, inspections, and assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazardsConduct PPE assessments and assist in selection of PPEWork closely with all members of the site management team, including the Chemical Hygiene OfficerTrack internal and external EHS training for assigned work groups and ensure that refresher training is scheduled prior to expiration datesAttain a level of knowledge in all EHS databases to be the system expert that supports other departmentsEnsure all events are properly and accurately captured and categorized in Intelex.Generates reports and other data as requestedEducate Company employees in complying with Company safety policies and proceduresVerify that all field employees understand and comply with all regulatory requirements and Company safety practices through Lab visits and auditing protocolsVerify compliance regarding inventory, storage, handling, and transportation of hazardous materials at assigned locationsManage hazardous and non-hazardous waste storage and disposal for assigned locations.Manage HAZCOM programs and site-specific Safety Data Sheets at assigned locationsManage respiratory protection programs at assigned locations and ensure employees are trained and fit tested for assigned respiratory protection equipmentMaintain a close working relationship with all Company personnel to verify the implementation and compliance with standard operating guidelinesMake and implement recommendations and improvements to safety, Lab operations, and logistical effectivenessAssist and mentor field supervisory personnel with incident investigations, determining root causes, and preparing detailed and accurate root-cause analysis reports.Conduct training of field personnel on proper safety techniques including JSEA completion, incident reporting, and other company safety programsActively promote and participate in Company safety programsProvide advice and guidance to Company supervisors and/or customer representatives to establish a safe working environment for employees and customersLead by example to develop employee knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for conducting safe operationsAssist with Emergency Action Plan emergency drillsOther duties as requested and required Qualifications 3+ years of HSE experience
2-4+ years of experience in Environmental Delivery / Industrial Hygiene
Experience with managing HAZCOM processes and site specificFamiliarity with Lab operations preferredFamiliarity with JSEA processes for identifying potential hazardsProficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
High School diploma or GED required
