Shift: 8:00am - 4:00pm (Mon - Fri)

Join our dedicated team in Unity Lab Services as a Lab Support Specialist, where we provide seamless support tailored to our customers' unique needs. We're seeking an organized individual to handle lab support operations, including glasswash, garment management, and gas/dry ice management. You'll be the primary point of contact for lab personnel, ensuring compliance and efficiency in all support activities.

A Day in the Life:

Perform specific tasks associated with labware operations, including precision cleaning, inventory management, quality control, and sterilization through autoclaving of glassware.Handle gas cylinder order placements and possess knowledge of gas meters, with the ability to safely manage encounters with HAZMAT materials.Collect used labware/materials from various labs and ensure dedicated points of use are fully restockedHandle gas, garment, and dry ice management, ensuring a consistent supply and safe storage of these materials.Partner with clients to understand their labware and material needs, providing timely support and ensuring stock availabilityFollow well-defined procedures as outlined by Best Practices, SOPs & Work InstructionsMaintain accurate inventory records, fulfill contractual obligations, and assist in tracking business metrics.May perform other duties as assigned by management.
How will you get there?

Education:High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:

Required: Minimum of 2 years of work experience. Preferably in Laboratory, distribution, warehouse or supply chain or related field

Preferred: Experience in a cGMP environment

​Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Outlook, Teams).Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a safety-first approach.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.Physical Requirements / Work Environment:The role primarily involves working independently at customer sites, which may include areas with chemical-based allergens like penicillin and tetracycline. Personal protective equipment, such as lab coats, coveralls, facemasks, and steel-toe shoes, is often required.The position requires regular lifting of 30-40 lbs (up to 50 lbs occasionally) and using equipment like pushcarts and forklifts to move up to 100 lbs.Standing, walking, reaching, and bending are frequent activities, sometimes in varied temperature environments. Overtime work may also be necessary.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $18.54–$24.72.
